Riverbend Stadium | The ABC Supply Stadium is a new 2,500 seat minor league baseball stadium completed in 2021, including a state-of-the art community entertainment center with approximately 67,000 square feet of enclosed building area. The stadium is home to the Beloit Sky Carp with the rebranding of the team. One of the most highly utilized and underappreciated aspects of a sports stadium is the plumbing. From coordination and layout to fixtures and stadium flow, the plumbing scope was installed with great attention to detail focused on accessibility and maintenance requirements for the facility. 1901 understood the wear and tear on stadium facilities and took extra precautions in our installation to minimize the long-term effects of extreme usage. With the use of careful planning and prefabrication, we were able to minimize the crew sizes on site throughout the life of the project and coordinate labor during the lesser labor volume periods with the construction team. We utilized prefabricated bathroom groups and other fixtures to minimize the waste on site as well as the space needed for storage on site. With a site location near the Rock River, there were multiple 6” dewatering wells that ran nonstop throughout the course of construction. We worked with the rest of the project team on the installation and operation of these wells to allow for a workable construction site for the whole ABC Supply Stadium. The most difficult challenge was the deadline and dealing with the cold weather while staying on track. The project started July 8, 2020, and the owners wanted the project completed by July 28, 2021. 1901 planned and worked diligently to complete our scope of work in that one-year time frame.
